Built for Entertainment

This design was created with two things in mind: The homeowners love entertaining, and want hardly any grass to maintain. The nearly 5,500 sqft yard won Unilock’s 2020 Best in Show Award. The design was done by Allure Landscape Design’s Beth Rowley and installed by Atlas Outdoor.

Birds-Eye View Entertaining Areas

In this project, Alluring Landscape Design had the exciting opportunity to craft a top-notch design for a golf course-side property, spanning an expansive 5,500 square feet. Atlas Outdoor entrusted us with the task, and we aimed to deliver nothing short of excellence.

To bring our vision to life, we utilized the Uvision 3D Landscape Creator from Unilock. Understanding the homeowners’ preferences for low maintenance and a love for entertaining, we designed a captivating outdoor space. The result was a multi-level masterpiece featuring state-of-the-art elements, including a sophisticated outdoor kitchen, two distinct fire features, and strategically placed LED lights for added ambiance.

Atlas Outdoor installed the design. The end result not only met but exceeded expectations, creating a standout outdoor space on this property. It also earned an Awards of Excellence for Best in Show from Unilock.

Outdoor Oasis

Transforming a Standard Deck into an Outdoor Oasis: From a routine staining task every two years to a stunning paver patio with a pergola, pond, and fire feature.

Before After

Home had a deck that needed staining every 2 years.  Some boards needed changing and rather then fix it up and keep it the same, it was decided to do a paver patio with a pergola over it.

The design evolved into a patio with a pond, pergola, and fire feature.

A single level patio, at ground level, was desired.  However, there were 2 doors existing on the back of the house at different elevations.  So, a creative way to make a smooth transition into a common area had to be developed.  Using angles around a bay window area with the door wall in it, we were able to make smooth transitions from both doorways onto a single level patio.

A small existing pond was slightly enlarged and tied into the patio area with a small area around the pond for fish watching.

The pergola gave the entire patio an outdoor “room” feeling and the fire feature helped create a sense of space to be used as a sitting area and another area for dining.

Completing the overall feel were plants that gave multiple seasons of interest.

Lake House

Navigating Constraints for a Customized Dining and Relaxation Space with Lakeside Fire Feature and Play Area.

Side Area Lake Area

Tight site and the client wanted an outdoor space for dining and relaxing.  But needed privacy from the house next door.

They wanted a cozy private feeling area.  The home is very custom and of course they wanted the landscape to reflect that. I had existing doors and a wood deck that were staying as well as a couple obstacles like the well head and existing hedges to contend with.

There is an additional fire and patio area near the lake edge that includes a sand area for the grandkids to play in.

People Pond

A Multi-Level Patio Design with Accessible Decorative Pond, Waterfall, and Cooling Retreat for Hot Summer Days.

Close Up From a distance

“We want a patio with 2 separate levels, but we want a large pond that people can access from both levels and while we want a waterfall and for it to look like a decorative pond, we really want to be able to walk down into the pond and cool off during the hot months.”

Many levels of ledgestone were installed to look like a decorative water feature while the entire design and construction was done with the intent for humans to be able to sit along the outer edges and enjoy a cool soak in the hot summer days.
